With everchanging world of technology and communication it is paramount to ensure that we are always providing our contacts with the ability to remain compliant with the guidelines for Federal Consumer Protection Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Both Wise Agent and WAVV are committed to ensuring that not only are you given the ability to reach out to more prospects, but you are doing so while respecting the right to privacy of your potential clients. That's why you have the ability to curate your own Do Not Call(DNC) list within the Built-in Power Dialer by WAVV in Wise Agent. 

If an individual lets you know that they no longer wish to be contacted by phone we strongly encourage you to honor that request by adding them to your DNC list. Below you will find instructions on how to add/remove prospects from your DNC list within your Power Dialer.

ADD NUMBERS TO THE DNC LIST 

  1. Click on the Integrations tab and then select Settings. Click the settings cogwheel to open your WAVV Power Dialer settings. 

    (NOTE: You can also access your WAVV Power Dialer settings from your Call List. Dashboard> Call List> Click the Settings icon next to Start Dialer.)
  2. Click the DNC List tab. 
  3. Click the Add Number button in the top right corner of your Settings modal. 
  4. Type in the phone number of the contact who expressed the desire to be removed from your calling list and click Add.

That's it! Going forward the phone numbers that have been added to your DNC List will automatically be skipped during your dialing campaigns.

IVR OPT-OUT

Call recipients also have the option to add themselves to your DNC List automatically if you have the IVR Opt-Out toggle enabled in your General Settings. This feature is ONLY available if you have the Multi-Line Dialer Plan and you are calling more than one phone number at a time. Upon hearing the Callback message they will be given a prompt offering the ability to opt-out from further communication. (We recommend enabling this feature when dialing more than one caller at a time.)

REMOVING PHONE NUMBERS FROM YOUR DNC LIST

  1. Click on the Integrations tab and then select Settings. Click the settings cogwheel to open your WAVV Power Dialer settings. 
  2. Click the DNC List tab. 
  3. Locate the trash can icon next to the phone number you wish to remove and click the trash icon to delete the number from your DNC List. 
  4. Click the Yes, Remove button to confirm you wish to remove the number from your DNC List. 

NOTE: The WAVV Power Dialer does not automatically scrub numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry, nor does the Wise Agent CRM. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are honoring the requests of your contacts by adding/removing them from your DNC List and keeping your call lists up to date. 

Real estate agents are required to follow all rules associated with the DNC Registry. Additionally, The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) states, "Realtors® cannot call people who are on the Do-Not-Call Registry to entice them to buy or sell a home or property." When it comes to past clients, if a number is on the DNC list the rules offer you an 18-month exclusion period from the time of purchase, rental or lease. The 18-month period runs from the date of the last payment or transaction between the buyer and seller. Beyond this time frame, written permission is required to make offers for service. 

Overall, any time someone calls a number on the DNC Registry to offer services they are subject to the DNC list rules and guidelines (and the penalties for violating them.) 

Your MLS or Broker may have their own rules and regulations to ensure that you remain compliant with the FCC Consumer act and DNC registry.
