To stay compliant with the A2P 10-DLC guidelines enforced by network carrier providers and the TCR (The Campaign Registry), all members must register as a brand to send text messages through your CRM.

Who Qualifies as a Sole Proprietor:

Small teams and individual members. If you have an EIN and a website and plan on purchasing multiple texting numbers, you MUST go through the Standard Brand registration process. The TCR completes a thorough vetting process and will review the information submitted for all Brand and Campaign registrations. Those who do not meet the requirements for a Sole Proprietor Brand designation will be required to resubmit their registration again as a Standard Brand and this may incur additional fees through Wise Agent. (If you are unsure about whether or not you qualify as a Sole Proprietor or Standard Brand please connect with Wise Agent support for assistance.) 

As a sole proprietor, you will complete the brand registration directly through your Wise Agent account. Your Brand registration details will be used to identify who you are to mobile network carriers when you send text messages to their recipients. During this registration process, you will also submit your "campaign use case." The campaign use case allows mobile network carriers to know the type of messages you intend to send to your recipients as well as how you obtain consent to send your contacts SMS messages.  

What are the limitations of Sole Prop:
As a sole proprietor, you can only purchase one texting number per brand registration. If you wish to purchase multiple texting numbers, you must register a new brand. You can use the same information for a new brand registration but are limited to the number of times you can use your mobile number and email for brand registration. (Fees apply for each brand you register)

If you are working under one Wise Agent account with multiple team members and plan on purchasing multiple phone numbers, you will need to register each team member as a sole proprietor to purchase and assign a phone number to a specific team member.

Registration & Texting Fees:

Sole Proprietor: There is a one-time non-refundable fee of $80 for every brand registration. Wise Agent collects payment by charging the card on file associated with your account. Once payment has been fulfilled, we will submit your registration and payment to the TCR (The Campaign Registry). After registration, there is an $11 monthly fee for your texting number, which comes with 1000 text messages monthly.

If your campaign registration is rejected by TCR, Wise Agent will assist you with reviewing your rejected campaign and submitting one additional attempt free of charge. If your registration fails more than twice you will be charged a $15 fee for each additional submission attempt. (Additional fees may apply if you are required to update your brand designation from a Sole Proprietor to Standard Brand.)

How to Register as a Sole Proprietor in Wise Agent:

  1. Log in to your Wise Agent account
  2. From the left navigation bar, click on the "Integrations" drop-down and then "Settings".
  3. On the Integrations settings page, scroll down to the "WiseText" header and click the arrow next to open WiseText settings.
  4. Click on the green "Activate" button from this section to add the WiseText feature to your account. 
  5. You will then be redirected to the Billing page to submit payment for the one-time registration fee of $80, which is passed through to the TCR (this is a non-refundable fee)
  6. Once your payment has been accepted and processed by the TCR, you will be redirected to a thank you page where a modal will appear. You will be prompted to enter the following information as a sole prop:
    • Full Name
    • Email Address
    • Mobile Phone (used for One Time Password (OTP) verification request, which you must respond to - this can only be used three times)
    • Full Mailing Address 
  7. Next, you will receive a text message from the TCR to confirm your brand registration. Follow the prompts in the text. DO NOT CLOSE THIS MODAL WHILE YOU FOLLOW THE PROMPTS. 

    NOTE: If you do not receive the text message prompt you can click Resend Text to generate the message again. You MUST register with a valid mobile number that supports SMS text messages. 
  8. Once your brand has been confirmed, your WiseText Registration modal will update to the Messaging Details screen, where you will enter your Campaign Use Case details. Here you will fill out the form with information on how you intend to use your texting campaign. Be sure to provide thorough details about how you intend to use your WiseText number as well sample messages. Then click Next.  
  9. Once your brand registration has been confirmed, Wise Agent will submit your "campaign use case" to the TCR for vetting. During this final vetting process, you will be limited in the number of text messages you can send daily within your Wise Agent account.
  10. Once your texting campaign has been approved, you will receive a text message alerting you that your campaign has been approved, and you now have full access to send SMS & MMS messages.

Registration Process for Existing Texting Numbers that are Unregistered:

  1. Log in to your Wise Agent account
  2. From the top navigation bar, click on the "Integrations" drop-down and then "Settings".
  3. On the Integrations settings page, scroll down to the "WiseText" header and click on the arrow next to open WiseText settings.
  4. From this section, click on the ellipses icon next to the far right-hand side of your texting number and then on register. (you will need to do this for all the unregistered numbers in your account).
  5. You will then be redirected to the Billing page to submit payment for the one-time registration fee of $80, which is then processed and sent over to the TCR (this is a non-refundable fee.)
  6. Once your payment has been successfully processed and accepted by the TCR, you will be prompted to enter the following information as a sole prop.
  7. Next, you will receive a text message from the TCR to confirm your brand registration. Follow the prompts in the text.
  8. Once your brand registration has been confirmed, Wise Agent will submit your "campaign use case" to the TCR for vetting. During this final vetting process, you will be limited in the number of text messages you can send daily within your Wise Agent account.
  9. Once your texting campaign has been approved, you will receive a text message alerting you that your campaign has been approved, and you now have full access to send SMS & MMS messages.

Wise Agent will resubmit your campaign registration if your campaign fails free of charge for your first resubmission attempt. If the campaign fails again after the first free resubmission attempt, there will be a $15 fee for each additional campaign submission.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Campaign Registry(TCR) will complete a thorough vetting process including verifying your information through the IRS. If you do not meet the requirements for a Sole Proprietor brand TCR will reject your registration and require that you resubmit your A2P 10DLC registration again as a Standard Brand which may incur additional charges and extended processing times.
