What Is Lead Attribution?

Lead Attribution connects your Wise Agent Broker or Team Website and CRM so that when a visitor registers on your website, their information is automatically routed to the correct agent.

When your team uses agent subdomains, each subdomain points to a specific agent’s “About Me” or “Bio” page. Any visitor who lands on that agent’s subdomain will have their registration tied to that agent — even if they browse other pages before registering.

Example:

  • A visitor lands on the agent Rachel's subdomain rachel.wiseagentwebsite.com* and views listings.

  • They later register on a property page after browsing through several pages on the site.

  • The lead is automatically assigned to Rachel in both the website dashboard and Wise Agent CRM.

This assignment “sticks,” meaning it follows the visitor through the site until they register.

Why Subdomains Matter

Subdomains allow your team members to share their own personalized website links while keeping your main company site consistent.

Each subdomain is linked directly to the agent’s individual bio page and connects their online activity to their CRM record. This is what makes lead tracking and routing automatic and accurate without the need for manual reassignment or guesswork.

How It Works

  1. Your team or brokerage signs up for a Wise Agent Website*.

  2. The broker or account holder provides a list of agents who should be featured on the site.

  3. Our team creates individual agent subdomains, each pointing to that agent’s bio page.

  4. Any visitor using an agent’s subdomain who registers on your site will automatically have their lead assigned to that agent in both systems.

This lead assignment is honored regardless of which page the visitor registers on. Once an agent’s subdomain is used, that association remains throughout the registration process.

Name Matching Requirements

To ensure lead assignment works properly between your Wise Agent Website and Wise Agent CRM, the agent’s name must match exactly in both systems.

Tip:
Check for consistent spelling, spacing, and capitalization. Even small differences (for example, “Jon” vs “John” vs "john") can prevent automatic assignment.

Information Needed for Setup

Before we can create your subdomains and agent pages, you will need provide the following details for each agent. (This information should be collected during your initial subdomain or whenever you add an agent/user to your website dashboard who needs a subdomain. Domains are not created automatically.)

  • Full Name

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Title

  • Headshot

  • Short Bio

  • Social Media Links (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)

  • Preferred format for subdomain creation (provide details on the format for your domains, i.e. [FIRST_NAME].website.com vs [FULLNAME].website.com)

Choosing a Subdomain Format

The recommended subdomain format is:
[agentfirstname].[yourdomain].com

Examples:

  • rachel.wiseagentwebsite.com

  • chandler.wiseagentwebsite.com

  • ross.wiseagentwebsite.com

If your team has agents with the same first name, we’ll use first + last name instead (for example, rachelgellar.wiseagentwebsite.com, rachelgreen.wiseagentwebsite.com).

If you prefer a different structure for duplicates, please let us know before setup begins.
